Studio Curriculum:
Basic beginner instruction (from Primer levels through level I) includes the four elements of musical instruction as well as instruction in basic technique (skill), artistry and ear training.
At level II the student will begin to be introduced to the classics. Classical instruction includes the basic musical periods: how to identify each period along with its composers, and how to play the distinctive elements of each period. It also includes instruction in musical theory.
All students (outside of the “Younger Beginner” Program) from beginner to advanced will be asked to complete one musical composition each year in keeping with their individual skill level.
